| Industrial Accident in Dundee's City Quay |

11-04-2008 Three men were taken to Ninewells Hospital yesterday afternoon following an industrial accident within the clock tower at City Quay in Dundee's Camperdown Street.
The accident happened at around 3.10pm when the men were working on internal scaffolding. They fell two floors onto an open part of the roof.
Tayside Police were joined at the scene by Tayside Fire and Rescue Service and the ambulance service.
One of the men, a 41-year-old from Dundee, was taken to Ninewells Hospital with a head injury. He has been detained in hospital and has undergone a CT scan.
A 41-year-old man, also from Dundee, sustained back, head and facial injuries as a result of the fall. He underwent surgery in Ninewells Hospital last night and is said to be in a stable condition.
A 25-year-old man from Dundee sustained scratches to his back but was allowed home following treatment.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and are attending to carry out an investigation into the incident. |
