Mrs Moira Docherty joined Tayside Police in 1995 as Head of Human Resource Services (subsequently Director of Human Resource Services).
She was previously employed by Tayside Regional Council, where she worked in their Personnel Department with specific responsibility for personnel matters of Water Services, Roads and Transport, and Finance Departments, as well as Tayside Contracts. Mrs Docherty oversees the provision of a comprehensive Strategic Human Resources Service for the workforce within Tayside Police. This includes responsibility for Staff Development and Learning, Occupational Health Services and Personnel. Mrs Docherty is a member of the ACPOS Personnel and Training Business Area, a role she has undertaken on behalf of Tayside Police since 1996. As an Associate Member of ACPOS, Mrs Docherty has portfolio responsibility for Diversity – employment matters, Policy and Shared Services, Employment Vetting and Substance Misuse. She is also the ACPOS Personnel and Training Business Area negotiator on the Police Staff Council for Scotland. Mrs Docherty is a Chartered Corporate Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development. |
