About the SCG

Members of Tayside SCG include –

• Angus Council
• Dundee City Council
• Perth and Kinross Council
• Maritime and Coastguard Agency
• NHS Tayside
• Scottish Ambulance Service
• Scottish Environmental Protection Agency
• Tayside Fire and Rescue
• Tayside Police

The above organisations are called Category 1 members because of the duties and responsibilities they have.  Tayside SCG also includes the following Category 2 members who have a duty to share information and work as part of the Tayside team -

• Animal Health
• Utility Companies (Gas/Fuel/Power/Transport/Telecommunications/Water)
• Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service
• Military
• Voluntary Organisations

Each Chief Officer holds a civil contingency related business portfolio as follows –

• Dundee City Council - Community Support and Recovery
• Perth and Kinross Council - Community Engagement
• NHS Tayside - Health
• Tayside Fire and Rescue - Risk, Rescue and Capability
• Tayside Police - Plans and Delivery
