Licensing
Tayside Police's Licensing Departments deal with the administration of all licences issued under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 and the Gambling Act 2005.
Licences are issued by the local authorities who have a statutory duty to notify the Chief Constable of any such application.
Our work includes full and diligent enquiry into each applicant and application. This enquiry inevitably takes time to ensure that those who seek a licence are suitable to have a licence granted. Tayside Police comments on an applicant's suitability to the local licensing authority, who will consider all information given to them, before deciding whether or not to issue a licence.
Should you require any further advice on Licensing matters or any related issue please do not hesitate to contact your local Licensing Department at :
