Renewal Notices

All firearm and shot gun certificates are valid for a period of five years.

Renewal notices with all necessary forms are automatically sent to certificate holders 12 weeks before the expiry of current certificate.

If you already hold a certificate which is due for renewal you do not need to download and print application forms.

If you receive a reminder notice but do not wish to renew please advise us.

If the renewed certificate is not issued before the expiry date you must arrange for your firearms and/or shotguns to be lawfully held by another party.

If a complete renewal application is not returned at least six weeks prior to expiry date, renewal may not be achieved before that date, in which case the applicant will not possess a valid certificate to hold weapons.
