Accessibility Options

At Tayside Police, we endeavour to maintain a website that is not just accessible, but pleasant to use for visitors with different accessibility needs. While a site that is accessible to all will never be possible, we are continuously looking for ways to improve. If you have ideas on how we could improve our accessibility options further, we would welcome your comments at webmaster@tayside.pnn.police.uk

Accessibility Module

Some users have difficulty reading small black text on a white background, or indeed in other colour combinations.  At the top right of all pages on the Tayside Police website you will find our Accessibility Module.

This module contains buttons to select one of five colour schemes. We have tried our very best to make these colour schemes helpful to users who may need them, but also appealing to look at. It is our belief that accessibility should not come at the expense of an enjoyable web experience.

To the right of the five colour options, you can also find three text size options to help those who may struggle to read the smaller text on our site.

Text Only and Page Printing

To the left of the five colour options, you can also choose to print pages from our site.

To the left of the print pages option, there is also the option for a text only version of our site. This may be especially helpful for users of screen reading software.
