WRAP - Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent
We can picture the explosion but don't see the funding, facilitation, and radicalisation that precede it.
A community that thinks "it'll never happen here" benefits the terrorist or criminal.
WRAP looks at how vulnerable people can be protected with interventions before any criminal acts take place. The workshop looks at all types of violent extremists and shows how they distort the truth to fuel grievances and apparently offer solutions.
WRAP looks at what makes a person susceptible, tests these symptoms in action against case studies and shows how your judgement can recognise these. The workshop will discuss a number of examples of radicalisation and how existing services were utilised.
These workshops will be of particular interest to those who are working with the public, community groups and other agencies such as social services, employment service, health, education and housing sectors.
The workshop lasts about 2 hours and can involve about 12-30 people.
