Operation Hindsight

Operation Hindsight is a groundbreaking partnership briefing exercise.

The exercise is designed to engage key practitioners within local authorities and statutory & voluntary agencies around preventing violent extremism. It offers the opportunity to take part in an experiential intervention session which looks at a fictitious case based on a real incident of a radicalisation process.

It will look at the following key areas -

  • Consequences of lack of early intervention
  • Lack of communication between key agencies
  • Intra-operability and data sharing opportunities
  • Symptoms exhibited by vulnerable individuals
  • Multi-agency approaches to tackle the radicalisation process

It presents the participant with a series of life episodes which relate to the main character in the scenario and then attempts to identify the potential for early multi agency intervention.

The exercise is designed to last between 2-4 hours and can be run with a group of 15-40 practitioners from various organisations that may come into contact with vulnerable individuals in their professional capacity.
