Environmental Initiatives

Tayside Police, through the Force Strategic Priorities 2009 – 2011 is committed to promoting positive environmental policies and identifying opportunities to improve our carbon footprint.

Under Section 25(2) of the Building (Scotland) Act 2004 all existing public buildings over 1000m2 floor area must display an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) in a prominent place within the building as of 4th January 2009.

The EPC states the energy efficiency of the building based on the standardised way that the building is used. The main focus of the EPC is the amount of Carbon dioxide CO2 estimated to be released from the building.
