Eastern Division

In an area of just 850 square miles (2,200 square kilometres), and covering the local authority area of Angus, Eastern Division provides an operational policing function in the towns of Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Monifieth and Montrose.

These towns together comprise a population of about 75,000. The population of rural areas outside the seven towns is approximately 30,000.

As well as scenic beauty, Angus has affordable housing, extensive leisure facilities, good transport links and friendly people.

The Command Team is led by Chief Superintendent Kevin Lynch.

Superintendent Willie Clark has day to day responsibility for all operational policing matters and Chief Inspector Sandra Richard has responsibility for support functions within the Division.

The senior detective officer is Detective Chief Inspector Alistair Reid and the Divisional Road Policing Unit is led by Inspector Grant Edward.

The Command Team is based in Divisional Headquarters, 78 West High Street, Forfar.
